With the intuitive map interface, users can easily locate and see the data shared by other users within the community overlaid on the applicable body of water. To upload, download or browse collected Quickdraw Contours data, users will need to create an account through Garmin Connect, a free online community already utilized by millions of Garmin customers who use the platform to share, track, and analyse data from other Garmin devices.ĭata can be uploaded through a “Marine Profile” in Garmin Connect, and once uploaded, will typically be available on the web for download within 24 hours. The collected data can be stored on any off-the-shelf SD or microSDTM card, as well as existing Garmin BlueChart® g2 and BlueChart g2 Vision® cards. For the most comprehensive coverage, Quickdraw Contours clearly shows where usable depth information has been collected and where gaps exist, so users can easily see what still needs to be collected. The results are instant and accurate, and can be viewed in real-time, or created in the background for use at a later time. Once it’s turned on, users will instantly see contours with labels generated right on the screen as the boat moves – unlike competitor products, there’s no waiting around or sending the files in for remote processing, nor is there a fee to keep the data private or to share it with others. “Not only is Quickdraw (Contours and Community) free and easy to use, but thanks to Garmin Panoptix™ all-seeing sonar technology, it’s the only map sharing platform to use multi-beam sonar recordings for high quality, accurate and complete HD fishing contours.”Ĭreating Quickdraw Contours data is powerfully simple. “Garmin customers have been collecting Quickdraw Contours mapping and depth data on their devices since the free software feature became available earlier this year, and now they have a way to easily share that data with others,” said Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of worldwide sales. The Quickdraw Community builds on the success of the company’s Quickdraw Contours software feature – a free, easy-to-use tool that lets mariners instantly create personalized HD depth maps with 1-foot contours on nearly any body of water – allowing users to easily and quickly share and upload the best data available. Garmin, the global leader in satellite navigation, have announced the Quickdraw Community, a free online user-generated platform where users can share and browse HD depth mapping content, and download the data free of charge to enhance and supplement existing Garmin mapping options. Two outtakes from the recording sessions ended up as B-sides, "Black, Red, Yellow" on the " Hail, Hail" single, and "Dead Man", which was originally intended for the film Dead Man Walking, on "Off He Goes". Regarding Irons, O'Brien stated that "everybody was on their best musical behavior around him." McCready said that Irons urged the band members to discuss their problems, and called him "a big spiritual influence, if not the biggest." Vedder said, "Making No Code was all about gaining perspective." Commenting upon the sessions as a whole, O'Brien said, "It was really a transitional record. He added that "Ed's typically the guy who finishes off the songs. But by the end of No Code, he was so burnt, it was so much work for him." The band's mood had gotten better by the time the album was finished, and the bandmembers gave credit for this to Irons. McCready said that a lot of the songs were developed out of jam sessions, and said "I think we kind of rushed it a little bit." Ament said that the band members would bring in fragments of songs, and it would take hours before Vedder could have music to which he could add vocals. It was difficult to tour and play these shows that were two or three hours long and then force ourselves to produce something in a studio." Due to Pearl Jam balancing recording and touring, Irons commented that the band was "more on-the-fly during the making of No Code, and some good things happened out of that, but we were also really tired. We'd all just get pissed off at each other." At one point Ament even walked out of the recording sessions, and considered quitting the band due to lead vocalist Eddie Vedder's control of the creation process. Guitarist Mike McCready said, "I'm sure Jeff was pissed, but it was more about separating, because if we played all together nothing would get done. Bassist Jeff Ament was not made aware that the band was recording until three days into the sessions, and said that he "wasn't super involved with that record on any level". The sessions for the album began with strife and tension. The album was then mixed by O'Brien at his mixing facility at Southern Tracks in Atlanta. The rest of the recording took place in the first half of 1996 in Seattle at Studio Litho, which is owned by guitarist Stone Gossard. During a break in a string of make-up dates for the 1995 tour the band went into the studio for a week-long session in New Orleans, Louisiana, where the band recorded " Off He Goes". leg of the band's Vitalogy Tour, the band began work on No Code at the Chicago Recording Company studios in Chicago for a week in July 1995 during the infamous Chicago heat wave. No Code was the band's first album with drummer Jack Irons, who had joined the band as Vitalogy was being completed. The album became the first Pearl Jam album to not reach multi-platinum status, receiving a single platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in the United States.įor its fourth album, Pearl Jam again worked with producer Brendan O'Brien, with whom they had worked on predecessors Vs. Critical reviews were also mixed, with praise to the musical variety but criticism to the album's inconsistency. The music on the record was more diverse than what the band had done on previous releases, incorporating elements of garage rock and worldbeat.Īlthough No Code debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making it Pearl Jam's third consecutive number one album, it left a large section of the band's fanbase unsatisfied and quickly fell down the charts. Following a troubled tour for its previous album, Vitalogy (1994), in which Pearl Jam engaged in a much-publicized boycott of Ticketmaster, the band went into the studio to record its follow-up. No Code is the fourth studio album by the American rock band Pearl Jam, released on August 27, 1996, through Epic Records. In some states, 20% is lower than the law allows so keep that in mind. 20% is often a sweet spot for car owners that want a reasonably dark tint while still retaining their visibility. While you can certainly understand the difference in the percentages, it might be helpful to understand what different ranges might mean.įor example, any tint range that falls below 20%, you get a great mix of privacy, light filtration, and great looking tint. Think about it this way – It’s really all about the light level. The tint percentage determines how much light you are letting in, not just the visibility percentage. This chart will help make sense of it all. On the other hand, 5% is the darkest and there is little to no visibility with this percentage level. For example, 90% tint is the lightest shade of tint available. The basic way to understand what the percentage means is to think the higher the number, the higher the visibility. Window tint percentages range from 5-90%. We will talk about the laws regarding tint shortly but we also want to point out that you should be familiar with your state laws to know if there is a maximum tint allowance.įor now, let’s talk about what the percentages mean and how you can choose the best tint for your vehicle. The percentages determine how light or dark your tint will be. Part of the window tinting process is to choose the percentages that you want to use. Only very rough waves from storms erode the sand. Waves lapping gently up on a beach help to replenish the sand there in the real world. So, how do I replenish the sand on the beach naturally? I think waves and a real beach will do it. The tank is too small to add a 3rd turtle, and I have this annoying issue where the turtles bring a little sand from the beach into the water with them every time they jump in. They're great: controllable flow, quiet, and efficient. The main return is an AquaMedic 3.0 DC Pump. The ATS pump is a AquaMedic 1.2 DC pump from an old tank. I have a DIY Algae Scrubber made from a 2.5g aquarium on a plywood base with 4x 24 Watt LED Grow Lights. There is a ReefSavyy Ghost Overflow with 1" Bean Animal drain system to my 40 Breeder sump. They breed like crazy, and sometimes end up on the turtle's menu. I have a deep sand bed, 15 pounds of live rock, all manner of CUC, and a bunch of mollies. The current tank is a 120g 4'x2'x2' with a 1'x2'圆" beach section and ramp. She has a female terrapin, and sine they grow to double the size of males, the tank will be way undersized. My girlfriend and I (we might have a better title sometime very soon) are moving in together soon. I currently have a tank for my two male diamondback terrapin turtles. So I've been mulling over how to put a beach and tides in an aquarium for a long time. I posted this also on ReefCentral in the Maintaining a Slope of sand? thread, but I also wanted to post my new dilemma/idea here. Everyone really is doing great in the tank. I have 4x 24w grow lights working now on a 20 on, 4 off schedule. My tank has been doing great! Nitrates are consistently low and the scrubber grows like crazy! Every week I pull about a cup of algae off the screens. I know a 40 breeder would be the next logical upgrade step, but why spend the money to upgrade when that's only a temporary solution? So, I decided to do it right and get a big tank. I've used a Bean Animal and an Algae Turf Scrubber since day one. Suffice to say that she should be much bigger than the male since they are the same age, but this is how big she was when I rescued her from her "rescuer."įor a while, I had her in a 10 gallon tank and him in a 20 gallon tank. Unfortunately, she had barely grown because her previous owner knew nothing about the lighting, water and tank requirements for turtles. Louie came to me next and already had a name. Taylor the Terrapin came to me first, and I decided on a somewhat unisex name. Yes, the names are a little weird, but it's hard to tell their sex until they are about 6 months old. Though they are two different variations, they actually came from almost exactly the same area. The male, Taylor, is a Northern Diamondback Terrapin and has both darker skin and shell coloring. She's a Concentric Diamondback Terrapin and has a lighter shell color and white skin with black spots. The female will grow another 4 or 5 inches in shell length, and the male probably only another inch or so. I've had them about a year now, and they grow pretty fast. If you don't know much about them, they are the only turtles that live exclusively in brackish water.
I made the details in that shape very subtle. In this painting you can see that I treated all of the distant mountains as one large shape. You can simplify your shapes, for example when you have a lot of trees together, by treating them as one big shape, and not as a lot of individual separate shapes. But this can be difficult when painting landscapes, as many natural forms such as trees are very confusing. Good shape design is at the heart of all great landscape paintings. Landscape Painting Tip #5: Keep Your Shapes Simple In the above painting I did in Segovia, Spain, you can clearly see the patterns of the buildings in the light and the buildings in the shadows as well as the shadows they cast on the ground. Keep these values distinctly separate from the shadow values. When painting landscapes, look for all the things that are in the light, and paint them using colors that have the same value as a light gray. You can use fences, thin objects such as a log or stick lying on the ground, or the edges of buildings in perspective to do this. Directing lines are lines you use when painting landscapes that direct the viewer’s eye into the distance. One way of doing this is to use directing lines. In this way you can make your landscape paintings much more engaging. When painting landscapes, use techniques to move the viewer’s eye into a landscape. Painting landscapes is often just about following some basic principles that anyone can learn, such as this one. It was this that to a great extent created the painting’s mood. A key factor in its success was the careful gradation of saturation in the colors from the foreground cliffs to the background cliffs. It won a top award at the Carmel Plein Air Painting Competition, an event attended by America’s top plein air painters. The above landscape painting of the Big Sur coastline in California was done by the author of the Virtual Art Academy® Apprentice Program early in his career. When painting landscapes use this change in saturation to create a feeling of depth. You will only see muted grays, or colors with low saturation, or low chroma. For example, you might see bright reds and yellows in the foreground of your landscape painting.īut in the far distance of your landscape, the colors will be very different. Artists sometimes refer to these colors as high chroma colors. In the foreground colors are more saturated or intense. This means that the colors in the landscape change from the foreground to the distance. One of the important ways you can create a sense of depth, or atmospheric perspective, in your landscape paintings is to follow the principle of chromatic perspective. When painting landscapes, you can create emotion in your viewer by evoking a sense of the vastness and expanse of the landscape. Poultry has now overthrown beef and pork as America’s favorite meat. These mega-corporations have drastically driven chicken prices down and availability up. The industry has since become so consolidated that the five largest companies-Tyson Foods, Pilgrim’s, Sanderson Farms, Perdue, and Koch Foods-now control about 61% of US chicken production. Then, big poultry companies began acquiring smaller ones in the 1960s. Experts say we have so many affordable chicken sandwiches on the market because poultry farmers, meat processing workers, chickens, and the environment are being treated terribly while corporations profit. Years of corporate consolidation, and an increasing appetite for chicken, has made poultry one of most prolific fast food staples in the US. There’s one other major driver fueling the chicken sandwich wars: the American poultry industry, which is designed to crank out astronomical amounts of cheap meat. So will hyped up drops and the relentless rhetoric that chicken is more sustainable and healthier than beef, which has seen a 40% drop in sales since 2003. “Flavor, bun, topping, and coating innovation will continue to drive interest,” says Claire Lancaster, the Head of Food & Drink at trend forecasting company WGSN. Even as labor and supply chain issues supposedly created a poultry shortage this year, the flood of chicken sandwiches just kept on coming-and many experts believe they won’t stop. Inflation has increased the average price by about 18%, but most still cost less than $5. Wingstop also relaunched its formerly-sold out chicken sandwiches in October, causing its stock price to climb nearly 7% overnight.Ĭhicken sandwiches offer a triumvirate of appealing things: crispy, salty, and affordable. This summer, Starbucks sent its chicken-and-egg sandwich into battle (and some customers claimed it gave them diarrhea). Popeyes saw a 38% jump in store sales post launch-and fast food brands have been vying for even a nugget of that success since. It all started when Popeyes launched its spicy masterpiece in 2019: a sandwich so coveted that one man was reportedly stabbed to death after an in-store fight erupted over someone jumping the queue. American fast food companies have been sparring it out in the chicken sandwich wars for years. * Structures - add settings: IgnoreLimitMaxStructuresInRangeTypeFlag, bIgnoreStructuresPreventionVolumes * Rules - change default value for MaxTributeDinos, GlobalPoweredBatteryDurabilityDecreasePerSecond, MaxHexagonsPerCharacter * Rules - add settings: AllowCaveBuildingPvP, DisableRailgunPVP, DisableCustomFoldersInTributeInventories, AdjustableMutagenSpawnDelayMultiplier, bUseSingleplayerSettings * Automatic Management - remove AutoShutdown Timer from profile sync. * Administration - change default value for MaxTribeLogs * Administration - add settings: CustomDynamicConfigUrl, CustomLiveTuningUrl, UseStructureStasisGrid, Culture * Administration - remove CluserID from profile sync. * Global - add global info, if Steam WebApiKey is missing. * ASM Options - add setting to reenable ModIDs, CluserID and AutoShutdown Timer sync * Chat and Notifications - fix setting for "Enable 'Player Joined' Notifications" * Dino Settings - PersonalTamedDinosSaddleStructureCost could be zero * Rules - change MaxTributeDinos and MaxTributeItems to safer max values * Server Details - add NewYear Event Settings * Administration - add max backup quantity for ark auto saves * Administration - add savegame settings for official backups * RCON - add player menu options to kick, ban or unban a player * Dino Settings - fix Mutagen Level Boost (Bred) * AutoBackup - fix RCON message wasn't send These files add additional information for different mods.
